HAZ-M.E.R.T. helps provide Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Programs for cities, counties, municipalities, and communities. In 1992, HAZ-M.E.R.T. helped organize and operate the first HHW Collection in Northwest Arkansas. Since that event, we have been active in semi-annual collection events throughout the state of Arkansas. In 1994, the first permanent HHW Collection facility was opened in Rogers, Arkansas. HAZ-M.E.R.T. has operated this facility since its opening and has been instrumental in opening satellite centers throughout the North Arkansas area. Currently there are satellite HHW facilities open in Benton County, Washington County, Madison County, and Van Buren County.
